I've had my Bowflex for many years now. Everytime I get a little carried away, I turn to it to get me back on track and it never lets me down.(I exercise only "when needed!") It works just as good as the day I got it & still giving results. Recently I lost all 35 pounds of pregnancy weight in just three months by using it 1/2hr a day, 3 days a week. I couldn't be happier and I think I look great!

[...] When it arrived, I put it together the same evening. Very good instructions. I began my first workout that same evening and the impression I had was that it was great, the constant tension was much different from the free weights I am used to. The downfall is that I don't see it as something that is suitable for someone who works out on a regular basis. It's fairly limited and i've maxed out on the weight already, with no upgrade options. So, I guess upgrading to a more advanced Bowflex, or just doing circuit training is in the future for me. Oh i'm a woman by the way,so if you're a fit guy, this will definately not work well for you.

Comments about Bowflex Classic Home Gym:

I bought this bowflex because I hate going out to the gym. I am female, over 50 and overweight, so the goal was to become more active and gain strength. This was a great investment! In three weeks I am already seeing and feeling the results. This bowflex was very easy to set up. My daughter and I put it together in about an hour. This was the best gift I could give myself. Very easy to use, handy to have at home. Highly recommend this one to any one starting out. I only wish a workout DVD had been included..

My wife and I use our Bowflex for general strengthening exercise following cardio. It is so nice to have this equipment at home! The Bowflex is easy to use and easy to adjust for a variety of exercises. It is a bit large for our house, but is still a great addition and is worth the space it takes up!

amazing piece of equipment you could save yourself a ton of money on gym memberships and fuel costs. This machine will give you a total body workout the power rod weights feel like there is a lot more weight than what the power rods say. I just started using it a few days ago and I was very impressed Bowflex is just as good if not better than free weights its a lot smoother workout than free weights easy to switch exercises

Being in a wheelchair and competing in wheelchair competitive events, I needed something where I didn't have to travel, put my chair in and out of my vehicle and then work out and then reverse the process. I don't have to worry about that with my Bowflex. I just have to wheel into my spare room, hook up the proper resistance and perform my workout. This is exactly what I needed and at a price that I could afford. Thank you Bowflex.

I owned the classic back in 2004 and the updates are great. Much easier to set up this time around and I can immediately see results. Taking a year off from running marathons and not wanting to join a gym - this is a very cost effective way to get a workout done at home and at a low cost.

My son and I set it up in one hour. We did opt for the floor mat which is good for the wood floors. Easy to use and it does fold up for less storage space; however there is nothing that holds it in place when folded up.

              • CUSTOMER CARE

                A:

Our general guidelines regarding height: our home gyms are designed to accommodate the widest range of users possible, generally between 4’10” and 6’4” in height (this assumes an average torso-to-leg length ratio). Since not everyone is proportioned the same, some users at the limits of this height range may have difficulty performing some exercises.

At 6'8" you are likely to have difficulty with some exercises. Your best best would be the Ultimate 2 or Xtreme 2 SE models where there is more cable travel to work with. Still, some exercises (the lat pulldown in particular) could be problematic for you.

Keep in mind that your satisfaction is guaranteed. If you're not 100% satisfied with your purchase you can return it for a full refund, less shipping and handling.

                A:

A lat bar is not included with the Classic and it is not recommended because the machine doesn't have hooks to support it. It does come with hand grips that allow you to do various lat pulls. See the Ultimate 2, Xtreme 2 SE and Xtreme SE for machines that include a lat bar.
